Painting - Lesson learned

Decided to paint my room on my way back from work. Thought I'd share my mistakes with any would-be painters ... you have been warned.

> Don't enlist your overly excited brother

> Don't panic if you drop paint on the carpet .. It's too late

> Don't hope that you can wipe the paint when you get it on the wall you didn't mean to. Get some white paint

> Don't forget to pretend that the color on the wall is exactly what you were after, especially if you have your brothers laughing their ass off ... so what if it sucks the light out of the room ...

> Don't get paint under your foot

> Don't forget to buy enough paint

> and finally ... Don't paint if you don't know what you are doing !!

I was watching harry potter - half blood prince ... settle down, at least it was not twilight ... and couldn't help but pick up on a recurring line ... 'Get you wand out' ... Haha

In my defence, I did not go looking the line .. it found me ...

The oxford street is grid locked because of an suspicious package on a bus. Time to get my 'walking' out if I want to get to FWDC day 3 on time ... Walk walk ...

Can someone pass me the mic - I have a question

Attended the 'Asia House' conference on the 13th and 14th Oct. Not even the chinese ambassador got away without a gift of my question.

Question: 'What is china doing to sustain the current growth they are enjoying?'

I was expecting a wishy washy answer about 'motherhood and apple pies' but instead I was surprised at the granularity and specificity of the reply. After going over managing financial sector he went on to explain how excessive polluting agents of commercialism will be shut down and briefly touched on China's plans for managing greenhouse gases.

Around about this point I was half expecting Matee's (youngest of the Captain Planet's crew) monkey to jump onto the stage from, chasing a fly that had made its way into the conference, followed closely by his stumbling keeper as he tried to catch him before the gig was up.

I doubt the Q&A was transcribed, but if I find it I'll put a link >>here<<.

Selling to the Stupid !

I couldn't believe that beat-up shoes are being sold at £55 a pop. You must have to be clinically retarted and then some to take your wallet out for one of these.

This is clearly a case for regulating retailers because people are simply to stupid to let near shops !!

An unexpected sticker

Someone stuck what can be best described as a middle age power puff girls on my bike seat. Not gona lie - it's starting to grow on me ... And I just noticed it ...

Tee'd off @ the drizzle

Why won't it be sunny on the weekends? ... No matter, a little drizzle never hurt nobody ... but the mud is starting to take it's toll !!

I'm gona smack this Mac

I have never been tested by a machine as much as I have been tested with this stupid thing ... goes by the name Mac.

You feed it a fresh dvd and it refuses to acknowledge your offering. To add to insult, since it never recognised the DVD there is no way of getting it back from this unthankful machine. Need to talk to the terminal to get it to make good with .. Well .. The goods.

And don't even get me started on capturing video on this thing .. That one I'll keep for my therapist ...

1 year - 2 months - 4 days ...

... Since I last filmed something. Seriously need to film something soon or I'll go out of my mind.

Spent a good part of friday and sunday lugging the gear across town. It's a shame I was not able to film anything because didn't manage to secure a location.

Maybe I should start with a music video to get warmed up ... After all, it's been some time since the last video ... Hmmm, what song should it be ...

Bless this mess

If folks at Stoic TV spent fraction of the time they spend on fiddling with their local network on filming ... they could produce some great content.

See anything wrong with this picture? Now look again where the feet of the dude are. What is casting that shadow? Yeah, that's what I thought ... Busted.

Looking closer at the rocks in the second pic clearly shows an attempt to soften the cut edges through blurring. I'll give them that because I do the same. But no excuse for missing the shadow ... None what so ever.

Interesting little coincy-donc ... Came across a poster for 'upset the rhythm' in a vynal store near old street, a venture of an old housemate ...
